LibX Lincoln City Libraries Edition

LibX Lincoln City Libraries Edition is a Firefox extension that provides direct access to Lincoln City Library's resources. A version for Internet Explorer is also now available. Features include:

  • An embedded cueLCL iconat the top of Google and Yahoo! search pages that allows you to search the Lincoln City Libraries catalog for your search terms.

If Firefox displays a message "To protect your computer, Firefox prevented this site... from installing software on your computer.", press the button labelled "Edit Options..." and click "Allow" add libx.org to the list of websites from which extensions may be installed. Then click "Ok" and visit the "Install" link again.

This extension works with Firefox only. It does not work with other browsers such as Internet Explorer or Safari. It has been tested with Firefox versions 1.5 - 2.0.0.11 on Windows, Linux, and Macintosh OS-X.

A version for Internet Explorer is also available. It requires that the Microsoft .Net 2.0 Framework be installed; please run Windows Update and check the optional software updates to see if you have this installed before downloading the Internet Explorer plugin.

Download the Internet Explorer plugin; click "Run" in the dialog box that pops up.
